A new empty bar has appeared since I updated to Firefox 17.0.1, what is it and how can I remove it?
An extra empty search bar has appeared on the my browser under the address bar. On the other side there is a 'manage your toolbar settings' spanner that has appeared and when I click it nothing happens. How do I remove the bar?

Change your Home Page. Goto Tools > Option > General > When firefox starts > Show my Home Page > www. Google.com
Add-ons > Extensions
What do you have installed which you don't recall installing?
Or troubleshoot your extensions to discover which extension added that toolbar.
