Can I have Norton Identity Safe and the corresponding toolbar with Firefox 16?

I have a new computer and installed Firefox as well as Norton (I have used Norton for years). I am not able to install the Norton toolbar as an add on and extension and therefor cannot use Norton Identity Safe. Please tell me how I can continue to use Norton Identity Safe.

Yes you can use the Norton Toolbar with Firefox 16. http://community.norton.com/t5/Norton-Internet-Security-Norton/Firefox-16-Support-for-Norton-Toolbar/td-p/821582. Please note that the features in the Norton Toolbar don't actually do anything to protect your computer that Firefox doesn't already do, so you don't need to have it installed.
