unable to download new version of firefox

Every time i download the new version of firefox, it says the file is corrupted, i've removed the previous version, deleted the old program file & also saves the file rather than running it from the site & it stll says the file is corrupt, any idears?

Some AV programs have been known to corrupt the Firefox setup file. Temporarily disable your anti-virus application only long enough to download Firefox. Some AV programs have been known to corrupt the Firefox setup file.

Uninstalled the av software (AVG) & disabled Windows, but still saying the file is corrupt
