Freecause security certificate has expired and now i can't use firefox. What's the fix?

When I launch Firefox I get the following error message; Could not verify this certificate because it has expired. xml.freecause.com:443 uses an invalid security certificate. Issued to Common name *.freecause.com Organization freecause, Inc Organizational Unit IT Serial Number 04:64:CB:B8:16:32:4C:E5:AB:11:DF:01:5E:29:DC:78 Issued by Common name Digicert Global CA Organization Digicert Inc Organizational Unit www.digicert.com Validity Issued on 9/11/08 Expires on 9/24/11 Fingerprints SHA1 fingerprint D1:EB:E9:45:5F:67:D4:C1:82:10:EB:B4:A4:FE:OE:3E:D4:A5:CE:6C MDS fingerprint C5:5D:8B:95:ED:C6:72:1A:A6:F8:EO:58:A8:62:6E:A8 Can't make it go away and it renders Firefox unusable. This appears to be related to the "Gamers Unite" toolbar using xml.freecause.com. Apparently freecause.com did let their security certificate lapse, and those of us using the Snag Bar are getting this error because of the Gamers Unite snag bar, and not FireFox itself.

I don't have any freecause add-on, nor do I have a gamers unite toolbar, or a tracker for airline miles. I am completely unable to use Firefox (I'm on another computer right now).

It looks like I will just need to completely uninstall Firefox. I don't get this error message in IE 8 or in Google Chrome, so it's a Firefox problem apparently.

I can't even access Tools because the pop up window won't go away.

Bummer!

I launched Firefox today and it's running fine. I did nothing at all to fix the problem. I don't have the toolbars mentioned and I don't know why it works now. Thanks to all of you for your suggestions.
