Since last up date, Firefox does not recognize the printer I have set up as a default printer. It says it can't communicate with a printer I have not used in many months, that is not set up as the default printer. Only way I can print then is to copy things to Word and print from there which works fine.

My wife uses Google and can print from there without a problem.

Suggestions?

If you have changed printers, you need to reset some hidden preferences in Firefox:

  1. type about:config in the Location/URL bar and press the Enter key
  2. on the warning, promise to be careful
  3. Filter = print.print_printer
  4. in the lower panel, right-click on that preference and choose "Reset"
  5. Filter = print.printer_
  6. in the lower panel, right-click on each of those preference and choose "Reset"
  7. Exit from Firefox, wait a few seconds (10-20), restart Firefox and test.
