yes this has also happened to me quite recently I have not found the cause of this myself so if any one has more info could you please help us? this mario sound starts when you start firefox and also if you close fire fox the sound goes away. other than that I have no Idea of what to put up as more info so reply if you can find the answer?

The same thing is happening on my laptop! It's soooo annoying. No problems with other internet browsers, just firefox. It started just this morning.

It's Pac-Man's 30th Birthday today, and Google's homepage is a playable Pac-Man game around the Google logo. My boyfriend had the same problem, then I went to Google and was like Hey, it's Pac-Man! And then the siren started. He plays fine on my laptop, but for some reason the music is stuck on his computer.

All you have to do is disable the "Cool Previews" add on for firefox. Go to the "Tools" link at the top of the browser, go down to "Add Ons", go to the "Cool Previews", click "Disable". Then restart firefox and it should be fine!a

This just happened to me also, same Mario sound.

On my computer it was the cool preview add-on so you should try through trial and error to find out which add-on is causing Google's PAC-man game too bug

Well for me it was the shockwave flash plugin which gave me the sound

for me it was the cool previews as well thank goodness it wasn't a virus now i can start playing pacemen Google style~ :D

I put the flashblock add on and it made it go away.

Yes, disabling CoolPreview-s solved the problem. Such a weird problem!
