Emails to Gmail addresses get rejected
Hello I am a long time user of Thunderbird, I am on the update channel, I am a retired technical support consultant so hopefully I have tried many of the obvious things. Nine times out of 10 if I send an email from Thunderbird mail to a Gmail address it gets rejected. Quite often if I try a second time it's okay but just recently it's been getting worse and this afternoon I tried about eight or nine tries and finally gave up. The problem is definitely a thunderbird problem as if I use other email clients or send mail from the ISP's website to a Gmail address this problem does not exist. Thank you in ADVANCE, Martin

It may help if you share what the error messages are. Thousands of people use Thunderbird to write to Gmail accounts, so there may be something else involved here. Please let us know more.

Since this seems to happen only to you, my guess is the setup info has a glitch somewhere in it, as thousands (or more) of Thunderbird users send messages regularly to gmail accounts. Having said that, I am not sufficiently technical to resolve this, but possibly if you post screenshots of all account settings, someone here may have a useful suggestion.
