trying to import outlook 2016 mail into thunderbird (latest version) get error message (unable to find mail to import. make sure mail app is currently installed). when importing i select outlook then just mail - but i get the error message. Outlook 2016 is my default mail app. I also tried changing the app to a different one then back to outlook but still get the error message.

is the PST file loaded into outlook and readable in outlook?

Yes the PST file is working in outlook at this time.
