Why did my logins disappear when Firefox updated?

Carla Rogers відповів

Last night, Firefox updated on my Mac. Awesome.

But unfortunately, all the logins that used to stay synced between my Mac and Android phone have disappeared from my phone. Phone and Mac both have been logged in to Firefox same account continuously since before the update and still are.

Why have all the logins disappeared from my phone? Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

Hi

I understand that Firefox Sync did not connect to your mobile device on this occasion, but hopefully I should be able to help you force a Sync event to take place.

Assuming you have connected the same Sync account on both your mobile and desktop copies of Firefox:

In Firefox on your mobile device:

  1. Go into the Settings menu and select Firefox Account.
  2. Tap on Synchronise now.

This will “force” a synchronisation of the data that is on the local device storage.

The problem was that the logins recorded using my PC are for paypal.com. On my phone, the login that seems the same is for www.paypal.com. The login info did not know to use the same credentials regardless of whether the url starts with www or now.
