I can't find a place to add names and email addresses on my email page
I just bought a new computer with windows 10...I'm using Mozzilla Thunderbird as my email acct... I have had to manually get all my email addresses and names out of my old computer and I've been trying to put them in the new computer and I can't find a place to do it...They were always on the left side of the page and I also cannot find how to write a new email....can you PLEASE tell me how to do this? I'm getting very frustrated!

You may be having a number of difficulties, it's hard to tell exactly from your description. Here are some suggestions. 1. can't find how to write a new email. Maybe your menu bar is hidden. There are instructions here on how to show it: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/display-thunderbird-menus-and-toolbar 2. trying to put email addresses and names into Thunderbird. If these are your email addresses, you are talking about creating email accounts. Instructions are here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/automatic-account-configuration and here, if Thunderbird doesn't recognise your accounts settings: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/manual-account-configuration 3. trying to put email addresses and names in. If these are the addresses of other people -- i.e. people you want to send mail to -- then you need the Address Book. You should be able to find it through the menu (see 1 above), if not, press ctrl + shift + b. 4. names etc. were on the left side of the page. If you mean that your email accounts were listed on the left, go to View > Layout > Classic View and make sure that 'folder pane' is ticked. 5. names were listed on the left. If you mean that the names of people you want to write to were listed on the left, then go to the 'write' window (ctrl + n) as if you were going to compose a new email, click on the View menu and make sure that 'contacts sidebar' is selected. Or press F9. 6. It seems that you are a bit at sea with some of the basics of Thunderbird. If you have the time, you may find it useful to have a look at this manual: https://en.flossmanuals.net/thunderbird/ It's very clear and it covers all the essentials of using the program effectively.
