When i start Firefox I get http://www.mystart.com/?pr=dollario&id=mshp&v=1_0 as start page. I don't want that page. I have tried the usual way under settings but it always come back. The Norton support (poor greek) sat 4 hours trying to solve the problem. Something is trigging that start page but I can't find out, nor the Norton support. I have moved Firefox to trash and downloaded a new, but the same. Yahoo must have planted something in my computer (iMac, OX 10.9.2) but where?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

You can check for problems with preferences.

Delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-##.js files and rename (or delete) the prefs.js file to reset all prefs to the default value including prefs set via user.js and prefs that are no longer supported in the current Firefox release.

I quit to use Firefox instead. Safari and Chrome will be my next choice. Too bad support on Firefox.
