Try to check your anti-virus/Firewall settings. Configure firewalls so that Firefox can access the Internet

i use windows fire wal and a couple of weeks ago i had 120 mb on mozilla and i did't change anything

We've seen such issues reported with F-Secure Browser Protection, but you may have other software installed that causes this.

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that works any better.

try going to your help,select troubleshooting information. there is the option to reset firefox which will reset it to when you first installed it
