My computer keeps trying to load the latest ugrade/security fix for Firefox, seems to do so but then tries to do so again. I have version 3.6.11

I can't add too much to the above. I get the message that it is "Downloading the update", tells me to restart Firefox but when it opens it again tries to update but then doesn't get beyond "Connecting to the update server."
