SMTP change in one account alters all

Continued from another thread with the same title Thank you for your reply. I have tried to follow but something is wrong? - click to 'account settings' OK - scroll down left side to 'Outgoing Server (SMTP) and press enter key OK - the next pane lists your SMTP servers. No, it shows Use Default Server and Email address - mail.xxx.eu (default) (This one is now correct)

For each one, edit the DESCRIPTION field with the email address for that account. This ensures that each is named differently.

At this point Account Names and Default Identities are correct for both accounts. However for the Outgoing Server (SMTP) the choice is between Use Default Server or Email address - mail.xxx.eu (default) (Not correct) I click Edit SMTP Server and change the Description to the other Email address - mail.yyy.eu. I now choose this server in the left window. This account is now correct. I go back to the first account. It now shows Description as mail.yyy.eu. This is wrong! The User Name only works with the same Email address as in the Description pane? Strange!? Why is the Description pane anyhow not called Email address when that is what should be keyed in here? Why have a User name pane if you are going to write the same as in the Description pane?

This is a common problem. We need screenshots to ensure problem gets resolv.ed.. Here are suggested steps: - click 'account settings' and scroll down left side to 'Outgoing servers t' and click. - edit each SMTP server with DESCRIPTION field with email address of that account. - after doing that, create a screenshot of the pane that lists all SMTP servers. That screenshot ensures that the accounts all show unique identifies. - now, still within the 'account settings' pane, click each account name, then do screenshot of the right side, showing the email address for the account and also the bottom row that links to SMTP server - those screenshots will confirm the issue. thank you
