Hi,

Could one of you bright sparks take a look at https://oneweb.co which has an SSL and is secure in all browsers apart from Firefox? I cannot find the reason for this after about 24 hours of investigation.

Every browser renders the site as secure, even the Firefox developer browser says it is secure.

I need an extra pair of eyes on this please..

Dave

I got a padlock when I access the link.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

Hi Fred, thanks for your answer. Are you using version 57.0.1 by any chance?

The problem has gone again this morning so now I know it was related to FF 57.0

The secure padlock was fine until recently, about the time that the new FF came out which was a couple of weeks ago I think. This morning FF has updated to 57.0.1 and padlock has returned.

I guess I'm not going to roll back in an effort to understand the issue as it is no longer relevant.

Many thanks Fred. Dave

That is good to hear. Please flag your last post as Solved Problem so others will know.

I refuse to install 57 because I have add-ons that cannot be replaced.

Try to rename the cert8.db file (cert8.db.old) and delete cert_override.txt in the Firefox profile folder to remove intermediate certificates and exceptions that Firefox has stored.

If that has helped to solve the problem then you can remove the renamed cert8.db.old file.

Firefox will store intermediate certificates that a server sends in the Certificate Manager for future use.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
