How to reduce data usage while using Mozilla?
Are there ways to reduce the overall data usage as I switch to a limited data for a couple of days ?
I have come across some methods but they do not apply to Firefox.

As for the moment Firefox doesn't have an such ability for data usage. Try to close unnecessary background apps so you'll have more memory to run Firefox for your needs.
You can set Firefox not to load some things, but the built-in features often don't give you enough control, so it's useful to consider add-ons.
The simplest things to block are those you are least likely to miss, such as ads. There are lots of ad blocking extensions, such as uBlock Origin.
Images can consume a lot of bandwidth, so there are extensions meant to hide images until you call for them. Some seem to have stopped working, but this one still has good reviews: Easy Image Blocker.
Media is trickier because in order to display a "poster" (static screen grab) for a video, Firefox will download part of its automatically, and some videos are coded to autoplay and while Firefox will freeze the player, it may also buffer a lot of it in the background. Maybe there is an add-on to block this.
Do you mean reducing data loaded by a website by blocking some content?
For blocking content you can search the addons website.
- uBlock Origin: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/
- uMatrix: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/umatrix/
If this is about storing personal data in your profile folder then maybe use Private Browsing mode or create a second profile.
