Lately I have been experiencing major issues with Netflix whilst using Firefox. The sit becomes completely unresponsive in terms of selecting films or even logging out of my account; the only way to do this is to clear all of my cookies and then Netflix is only responsive for watching one film or TV show.

Whilst clearing my cookies is a quick fix it is entirely short term, and forgetting my cookies means I lose log-in shortcuts and all of the things that make my online experiences convenient. Something is quite clearly wrong and needs rectifying because I can't keep doing this. I'm paying for a service I can't use because Firefox has an apparent issue with cookies and Netflix.

To clarify, I have tried using Netflix in others browsers such as Google Chrome, and faced no issues. I could log in and select films with ease. The only reason I use Firefox is because I had repeat problems with Chrome last year, and made the switch to this browser. It would be a shame to have to switch back because of problems like this but if it can't be fixed then I may have to.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

Start your Computer in safe mode with networking. Then start Firefox. Try Safe websites. Is the problem still there?

The problem was not there anymore, so what do I do to figure out the problem?

Yikes! Tried using Reddit's comment markup. Edited.

More than likely, one of your extensions/plugins are to blame. Start Firefox normally and start disabling add-ons one by one to determine which is the conflicting add-on. Once you disable a certain add-on and are able to browse Netflix normally, you have found the issue. Since Firefox is updated every 6 weeks, add-on developers sometimes update their extensions a little too late and therefore their extension won't work on the newest Fx version.
