I have several icons for various favorite websites on my desktop that USED to work but now will not open Firefox The same is true for any links in e-mails. However, if Firefox is already open, then these links function.

Open Windows Internet Explorer. Have it declared as the default browser. But turn off the option to check this when the browser opens (If you want).

Now do the same thing using Firefox.
