I have two computers, a desktop and a laptop.

The desktop runs Firefox 3.6 and when a google search is done I get the option to search just the UK sites.

The laptop ran firefox 4 and now runs firefox 5. Here I do not get the option to search just UK sites. Searches tend to give results from USA sites which is useless to me when looking for a UK product or service.

Is this a firefox issue or a google issue?

Where are you doing that Google search from?

The Google web page?

Or from within Firefox using either the Location Bar, the Search Bar, or the Google / Firefox homepage in the 3.6 version or the new about:home homepage in Firefox 4 & 5?

An interesting observation.

If I start from Google.co.uk in Firefox 5 I do get the option to search just UK sites after the first set of results. ie it searches all websites but presents the option to restrict this to just the UK . If I use the firefox search barI do not get that option even after the search. In this case I cannot find the option anywhere.
