For years now, I've had problems when deleting an email and then immediately using CNTL-Z to undelete it. Sometimes it works but often it doesn't work at all. I hit Get Messages again - sometimes works. I close and restart Thunderbird. Again, sometimes that works. Sometimes I have to go into Trash and go find it. This is on WIndows 10, Thunderbird 102.3.2 (32-bit). Yahoo email.

Thanks

There is a known bug about speed. Whether that bug would be your issue is hard to determine, and there is no workaround.

Your best approach is to is to make sure both spam and trash folders are empty, and other folders are of reasonable size - less than 100,000, and ideally less than 50,000.
