So i set up an account with my brand new phone without a problem. Now on my desktop, it's requiring me to put in a new password that "doesn't work" even though that's what we reset it to. Now this message shows up even when i put in the new password. Help!

Turn off your new phone for 10 minutes or so and see if once it drops the connection and it has time to "time out" if it is not a polite mail app if your Thunderbird suddenly can connect.

Apple products in particular are known to utilize all available connections to make the app appear more responsive to the user, but other apps can also do it. They do usually have an override setting to limit the number of connections they can use, unless they come from apple.
