How to block or unblock Javascript on certain websites?

I'm trying to access information on a web page that uses Javascript to open a window to display the content. Apparently, Javascript is blocked, but after looking at my Firefox settings, I can't find any place where I said not to run Javascript. But if I did choose that setting someplace (Ghostery?), I would like to know if there is an option to list exceptions. I tried to open the Ghostery settings, but a warning came up saying that just by *ENTERING* the custom setup area, all the settings I've already selected will be reset. Even if I don't change anything?? I just wanted to see what settings were there.

I realize that Ghostery isn't a Mozilla product, so if this isn't the appropriate place to post this question, I'd appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction. However, if someone here happens to know the answer, I hope that they will just let me know.

Thanks!

Hi Bastette54, does the window not open at all? Perhaps there is another way to check the reason without wiping your settings.

I don't use Ghostery myself, but in general:

Firefox's Content Blocking feature and extensions that counter ads and tracking may break websites that embed third party content (meaning, from a secondary server).

(A) Do you see a shield icon toward the left end of the address bar, near the lock icon? More info on managing the Tracking Protection feature in this article: Content Blocking.

(B) Extensions such as Adblock Plus, Blur, Disconnect, Ghostery, NoScript, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin or uMatrix should provide toolbar buttons to manage blocked content in a page. There may or may not be a number on the icon indicating the number of blocked items; you may need to click the button to see what's going on and test whether you need to make an exception for this site.
