Several weeks ago emails quit coming in. Then, a couple of weeks later, email receipts resumed. However, my address book is no longer available, except for about a half dozen addresses used very recently. I had probably around 100 email addresses gathered over the years. I now have no access to them. How can I get my address book back? Thank you, Konreid Etheredge

Hi all

I use the Thunderbird client on my Win 10 desktop for my Gmail emails. I also have the gmail mailbox on my iphone and ipad using the 'Mail' App (not the Gmail app)

If I receive mails into the Thunderbird mailbox on the Win 10 desktop, I often move them to the correct Private Folder. But, when I do this they stay in the inbox on my ipad like 'read messages'. It worked previously and I don't know what has changed. Any ideas?

I have several emails with the same subject line. I could copy and paste the contents into a Word doc, but is there a way of getting TB to print the content of these emails as a single document, without the headers and footers? thanks

Hallo liebes Team! Ich suchte eine Mailadresse von Thunderbird, um zu erfahren, was mit all meinen Mails passiert ist, fand aber keine. Das Problem: Ich hatte ursprünglich Unterordner angelegt mit rechtem Mausklick und alle Mails dort abgelegt. Leider scheint es diese Funktion und damit auch die Ordner nicht mehr zu geben. Ich kann darauf also nicht mehr zugreifen, sie sind nicht da, rechter Mausklick links ist tot.

Dafür sind nun im Order Gesendet = über 800 und im Ordner Gesendet = fast 800 aufgelistet, ohne dass ich auf sie zugreifen kann, wenn ich in der im Bildschirm sichtbaren Auflistung bis ganz nach unten gescrollt habe. Früher gab es unten eine Leiste, wo man die Seiten zurückblättern konnte, auch die ist verschwunden.

Wo sind all die Unterordner mit meinen wichtigen Mails? Und wie lege ich neue Unterordner an?

I have used Thunderbird for decades with no problem. On a new Windows 11 machine, though, I am having a problem. I am running 128.4.2esr (64-bit) and just reinstalled it, but keeping the profile folder.

When I start Thunderbird, it should open to mail, specifically a unified inbox and various other mailboxes below. Instead, usually, it is blank. Other reopened tabs correctly display their title and content. See screenshot.

Thunderbird works correctly if I start it in troubleshooting mode, but at this point my few add-ons are disabled. (Quicktext, Compact Headers, dark theme.) See screenshot, lightly redacted.

With Thunderbird running, in its bad mode, selecting "mail" brings up the same blank page. Also, "calendar" shows a correct list of my calendars but will not display their content. However, "address book" works, showing my address book correctly.

If I am lucky or patient -- waiting for the mail tab to potentially come to life -- Thunderbird occasionally works and, if it does, stays fine for days, as long as I don't close it. What could be going on and what should I try doing?

I use Thunderbird. Whenever I create a new folder in the email account I have set up in Quaker Meetings Network (QMN), url https://quaker.app, it is appears as a sub-folder of Inbox, but I want it to be a folder at the top level of the email account. I can do this with the other email accounts I administer with Thunderbird, in gmail.com and phonecoop.coop. Why can't I do this with a QMN email account? QMN say this is an issue with Thunderbird -- they are able to create "top level" folders on other email software such as Outlook

Last little while (2 to 3 weeks), when I am getting Calendar (and most other) notifications, they come up as a full size (same size as Thunderbird) screen, rather than a small dialogue box. (See attachment) This is REALLY annoying!! How can I fix this?? Thanks.

Добрый день! Во вкладке "Входящие" горит значок 34 входящих сообщения, хотя по факту их нет. Сегодня поступили еще письма, они отображаются. Но общая сумма входящих сообщений по-прежнему включает эти 34 фантомные сообщения. Вероятно, это какой-то баг, как их можно очистить?

Hi, I don't know what I did but suddenly I only have the chat screen (which I have never been in, screenshot attached) and can't get back to my normal Thunderbird window where I see all my emails. All functions in the drop-down menus don't work, I can't get into settings or anything. What do I need to do to get back to my emails?

Hello Team, About a month ago Thunderbird stopped downloading new messages, on my desktop pc. I have a Cox email account, and about a year ago they switched to using Yahoo. It's been working fine until last month. When I open TB, the inbox count of unread messages keeps climbing, but it's not adding new emails. I think it's actually adding duplicates of already downloaded emails. Some of which it looks like it is adding several copies, like 3 or 4. Can you tell me where to start? Many thanks.

I can't find the Spam anywhere and so I'm afraid that I may miss some emails that are not spam whatsoever. The spam log never contains any email. On Linux Mint, latest version, thunderbird downloads mail from AOL. But not all the mail is downloaded. I can send a message to my aol email address and it will show up shortly in thunderbird on my linux desktop. But some email never download to thunderbird. The messages can be viewed on AOL, but they are not found on thunderbird..... No error messages show up at all.

I am puzzled why some messages cannot be found when I go to look for them on Thunderbird. Any help would be appreciated. Andrew.

When I opened Thunderbird to get and read my new email I received this error message after I could see that Thunderbird had found new messages.

"Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox."

I checked the hard drive space on all of my hard drives and I have GBytes of space and in PREFERENCES for the hard drive, WRITE is allowed. In fact all items listed in Preferences is set to allow.

I've rebooted the computer and even had Windows check my hard drive for errors and it found no problems. What do I now need to do? Thank you. Fred Berney

For quite a while now, almost a year, when I delete an email, it deletes more emails than the one I was deleting. Why is this happening? Sometimes I loose an important email without realizing it. This happens on both of my computers, my desktop and my laptop. How do I fix this? Hope you can help and Thank you. Mark D.
