Just started using Thunderbird, coming from MS Outlook. I have exported my contact details in Outlook to a .csv file, and tried to use this as the import source to transfer the details to Thunderbird address book. I have checked the fields to transfer, but none end up being passed over. The .csv file appears to hold the correct data with the correct field headers. Although I do not have many contacts, transferring them individually by hand seems a very old-fashioned thing to have to do lol

I have an outlook work email account in Thunderbird. Now I need to add another for a charity role. The first/work one is fine, but I can only receive emails on the second/charity account. I've tried different setting for the outgoing server but I don't really know what I'm doing with that - can you help please? Thank you.

I am unable to find the Archive folder. It is not listed when I right click on the account name. All of my folders are there but not the Archive. Any one know how to deal with this?

There is currently no setting in the Thunderbird calendar for a recurring date on the "last workday" of each month. This is very necessary for certain recurring dates, such as payments issued online monthly on that date.

This function is included e.g. in the Nextcloud calendar app, but not in the Thunderbird mail calendar.

Is this something coming soon?

Ik krijg geen verbinding meer met mozilla thunderbird email. Google is mijn provider. Google vermeldt: server kan het verzoek niet verwerken omdat dit niet de juiste opmaak heeft. Ik heb wel mijn wachtwoord in Google verandert door Odido probleem. Ik vermoed dat dit het probleem kan zijn. Mijn vraag is of u dit op afstand kan bekijken

Created new yahoo mail IMAP (PKCE) account using Thunderbird account creation. All seemed to work well. However, new account does not receive mail from "some" other IMAP and POP accounts in testing, including from TB Pro. Strangely, mail sent from oldest POP accounts works. Mail from newer POP gmail and TBPro accounts is not received. TB 149.0b1 Windows 11

I can receive mail fine. Cannot send mail on gmx.co.uk acct, but gmx.net works on oauth2. But oauth2 is missing on gmx.co.uk It's just not on the pulldown. I tried a new thunderbird acct for gmx.co.uk but oauth2 is still missing.

Since the up date my yahoo and AOL account want me to enter the password. When i do it is not accepted. It is correct since i tried it on a friends computer. I tried to use forgot password and it says I should enable java script and turn off ad blockers. I cannot do this in Firefox nor do I think it will help.

My old Arch Linux system with Thunderbird 145.0-1-x86_64 died. My RasPi and my new Pop-OS Meerkat both get 140.7.1esr (aarch64), and say they can't import my backups. I could see the RasPi ARM system getting a different Thunderbird, but the Meerkat is clearly an Intel processor. Why does it get the same version as the ARM based Pi? How can I recover my years of mail history? Both new installations say they are incompatible!

New Computer and new installation of thunderbird just happened. But now I cannot create more than two subfolder. each trial ended up in subfolder disappearing in Nirwana. Is there a limitation now or didn´t I follow any new rule? Please help if possible. Thank you, Monika

Thunderbird 147.0 (64-bit) OS: Linux; Fedora 43 Settings:

• smtp.gmail.com
• port 465
• SSL/TLS
• OAuth2
• full email address

This situation started happening about a week ago. I created a new user and had no problem sending email from the same default account. I can also connect to smtp.gmail.com using telnet, port 465. Something is presumably corrupted. I have had this account for many, many years, so I have accumulated many filters and other data.

I received an email on 02/25/2026 that was a egift card from a local small business. The egift card was from with Square account. When I went back into my inbox the next day to use the egift card, the email was gone. I looked in all my folders and didn't see it anywhere. How can an email just disappear? When I contacted the small business, they said they can't honor the egift card without the 16 digit # on the egift card. I showed them the receipt for the purchase but it doesn't not show the 16 digit code for the ecard, only shows the purchase of a gift card. So how do I find this email with the egift card?

I don't recall the actual email address the egift card was from other than I saw it was from a Square account.

The calendar has a way for you to see all calendar events. Is there anyway to view all calendar tasks? My goal is to clean up the calendar by removing old tasks.

Can get(POP3), but can not send emails to a newly created personal outlook.com account.

Based on my understanding its seems thunderbird is using SMTP AUTH instead of OAUTH2 as required for newer personal outlook.com accounts. Is my assessment correct? If so, is there a fix?
