When I open a new tab, I have it set to the home page. When I go there, it adds the most visited sites, yes? ok. but...now when I go there, it has a bunch of sites past my pinned ones. When I dismiss one, all of them disappear except my pinned. A few minutes later, I open a new tab, and theres a bunch of new sites again, but I can only dismiss these one at a time, and they again disappear for some minutes, or a couple/few tab openings. Bug or feature? how do I fix it?

Firefox was updated. I was Hacked. Now I cannot log into my email Provider. Firefox is my default browser. How do I access my email provider via firefox browser now?

Since I upgraded from FF128-esr to FF140-esr I always get the "Firefox is being updated by another instance" This is really driving me crazy, as I checked / did / .... everything (and even more) I found on the internet related to that.

Nothing helps !

Creating and using a new default profile didn't help

Finally I ended up uninstalling FF completely (making sure no -zero- leftovers remained in ProgramFiles, AppData a.s.o.), and reinstalled FF140.7.0-esr freshly. After installation I started FF immediately with the created default profile (only existing one) --> SAME THING : "Firefox is being updated by another instance"

And this is really a FF140 thing, when I go back to FF128, on the same computer, same profiles, ...., the problem is gone.

I would like to know in detail what checks are really done by FF to decide to give that "Firefox is being updated by another instance"

I have an issue with grouped tabs but I know where the grouped tabs are, I click the arrow facing down and it doesn't show the grouped tabs that I had, I don't know if it's because I turned off my PC when firefox was still open but I do that most of the time, when I opened firefox it said that it couldn't restore previous session or something like that and next thing I notice is that all my grouped tabs are gone. Is there a way to get them back?

I’m experiencing the following issue:

When I open Password Manager (about:logins), the page is completely blank.

This problem started about three months ago, after I updated Firefox to a newer version.

Currently, on the about:logins page, I can export all my accounts and passwords as a CSV file (so the data clearly exists), but nothing is displayed on the page itself.

I also tried importing the same CSV file (exported from about:logins) back into Firefox. After importing, all accounts and passwords appear in the left panel. However, when I click on any item, the right panel is still blank. If I close the page and open about:logins again, the items still do not load.

My current Firefox version is 147.0.

How can I solve this problem?

Good Morning! I've just come back to FF after using another browser for quite a few years. Things have changed alot here, but I'm loving it all so far! With that being said, have been trying to get a few extensions set up. Main one being Open Link with New Tab. (WHY doesn't FF do that automatically? lol.) Anyway, obviously I'm doing something wrong because it just stays grayed out. I've uninstalled/reinstalled quite a few times. I know it's something so basically simple and I'm overlooking it. HELP!
