I keep getting pop up "api.xyberhome.com:443 invalid security certificate", which I can not stop. Nobody will respond to question on web and there is NO PHONE number. How do I recover y info stored there? Also, the pop-up freezes my computer every 10-15 seconds until I respond to it.

PLEASE HELP

It looks that that website hasn't updated their certificate in time:

Valid till: Tuesday 15 March 2011

Looks that this also happened last year:

Thank you. I get that. I'm the one who questioned last year. But last year they updated immediately. This year, no response so far. I don't want to uninstall it because I have records stored there. But I do want to stop the pop-ups.

Any suggestions?

Thanks again for the response. It's the only one I got from 4 posts.

You can temporarily set an exception. I wouldn't advice a permanent exception because the site should fix this.

You can retrieve the certificate.

  • Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"

Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".

  • Click the "View..." button to inspect the certificate and check who is the issuer.
  • Remove the check-mark in the box at the bottom to "Permanently store this exception".
  • Click "Confirm Security Exception" to enter the site.

You will have to repeat these steps with every browser session if you want to visit that website.

If you can't add an exception, but get a pop-up with the error message then you can check the pref browser.xul.error_pages.enabled on the about:config page and make sure that the value is set to the true (default).
