Hello, Since a couple of weeks I'm facing a strange issue on my Firefox installed on my desktop (arch linux) where the suggestions window that appears when clicking the URL address bar, is shifted upwards and covers the address bar itself and the majority of the bookmarks. Has anyone experienced a similar issue and is able to point me towards some troubleshooting steps? Thanks!

Recently I used the forgot about this site for reddit, but when I try to click on a link from either my bookmarks or from a web search I keep on getting. Not exactly sure what causes this or how to fix it.

I am not referring to anything regarding YouTube. This issue is with my Firefox web browser. When I long onto frequently used web pages parts of the page are no longer visible. What causes this and how do I fix this?

I have been working for Data Annotation for nearly a month and never got this error before. I need this money for rent! I'm trying really hard not to freak out here but today is the deadline for rent and the only way I'll get that money is to log on to this website so I need help and I need it now.

Hey y'all, I just closed Firefox and tried to open in up again a few minutes later. The icon in my taskbar threw an error saying it couldn't find the executable. I typed Firefox into the run dialog and FF came up but has no icons on the home screen, zeroed out my bookmarks bar below the URL field and deleted all my bookmarks (100s).

I went into the User/../../Mozilla folder system and found a folder called bookmarksBackup or something similar. It was completely empty.

Any chance these were saved somewhere else as well?

Hey there, long story short - nowadays it's crucial to support those who WFH, and most people use G Suit for company work. I personally have a few daily calls via Google Meet and having the TAB sharing feature available is highly appreciated. I know this was requested a lot, but this is a real dealbreaker for many people.

What are your thoughts on this? Maybe it's somewhere in the roadmap already? Thanks!

I am getting "Secure Connection Failed", Ive seen literally hundereds of same error also exist here. Like most of default solution (which is below) did not work for me. My laptops time is correct, And I highly doubt reddit and most of internet has issue with its security certificates. And other browser works just fine. So What is my solution other than immigrating to new browser?

I'm hoping someone can help with a conundrum.

A few years ago, whenever I first started Firefox--whether I had just started up my computer or had exited Firefox and opened it back up--it would take several minutes for Firefox to load any website (Google, Amazon, weather.com--anything). Once the first site loaded, it would load subsequent sites normally. Interestingly, it was only my default profile that was affected; if I used another profile or created a new one, websites would load within seconds of my starting Firefox.

I finally broke down and created a new default profile, imported my history/bookmarks/etc., reinstalled extensions, adjusted settings, etc. The new profile behaved nicely, loading the first website within a few seconds of Firefox starting. But over time, the load time has gradually increased to the point where it is now behaving just like the old profile: I load Firefox, I try to go to any website, and it takes several minutes for it to load.

Any ideas what's happening/what's the problem? Hoping someone out there has some wisdom and can help troubleshoot. Thanks!

When I open Firefox and call up bing maps , it starts to load the page , then Firefox crashes . Has been doing this for several firefox versions . Looking at the crash report , I always get "The debug symbols are missing for firefox. Please install firefox-dbg." but I can't find firefox-dbg to load

My Firefox tab keeps crashing on a particular website. Whenever I go to twitch.tv, the site begins to load and then I get the "Gah. Your tab just crashed." screen. I'm only getting this crash on twitch.tv pages, and this issue just started on May 31, 2024. When I try to open a twitch.tv page in Private Mode, the page loads just fine. I've never had a Firefox tab crash prior to this.

I've tried turning off all of my Firefox extensions, but that didn't solve the issue. I also tried opening Firefox in Troubleshooting Mode, but I still got the tab crash. I'm using the latest version of Firefox as of today's date.

I would like to force spellcheck for all websites, and override any HTML code from the websites. which may be disabling it. This should be done automatically and not by inspecting and manually altering the HTML. I consulted with ChatGPT and tried adding some code to my existing userChrome.css but it is having no effect, even after clearing cache and restarting Firefox. For instance, faxzero.com has a form with spellcheck disabled. I tinkered with the CSS and kept testing faxzero, but the spellcheck always remains disabled. How can I accomplish my goal?

I had to restore Windows to its initial settings. I lost all my programs because of this, including Firefox. I reinstalled the browser, logged in to my account (which is synchronized), but instead of recovering all my bookmarks I got nothing. Empty bookmark box. What's worse, they were initially available on the mobile device, but they were also deleted there (both from the browser and from the smartphone). Firefox restored history, add-ons, but not bookmarks. Is there any way to recover these bookmarks?

I have previously exported my bookmarks in an HTML file. When reinstalling Firefox, I tried to import them using the HTML backup file. It says that 309 bookmarks have been found, but nothing changes on the bookmarks bar, still showing the "Import bookmarks" bookmark. These are very important bookmarks I would really like to get back, can you help me please ?
