Since a recent update the spacing of words in Firefox's UI as well as on some websites seems to be wider than normal (instead of a singular space it seems as if each space is now a tab wide). Additionally the numbers have also suffered and are now not presented in a normal font anymore but instead seem bigger and grey instead of white or black. Both of these issues occurred at the same time and appear on the normal User Interface of Firefox (e.g. in the bookmarks or in Firefox's settings and preferences) as well as on some websites/search engines. However when copying the text and numbers from Firefox into a regular text editor everything seems normal and no appearance issues can be noticed. What I've already tried: I've restarted my system multiple times since the issue first occurred. I've removed all contents from /home/user/.mozilla/firefox. I've reinstalled Firefox. I've deleted my cache. I've changed my font preferences in Firefox back to Default(Roboto) after having used Inter before. None of my actions above have changed anything. However, when I log into a different user on my computer and open Firefox there everything seems to be normal, so it seems as if this is a user-specific problem.

Prior to the latest update during the week of May 2, I did not have ads appear on Facebook. I have not changed any settings. After the last update, ads appear, lots of them. How can I have them omitted?

When using the the web browser, I used to be able to click on a link such as a vcard and it would automatically open outlook. Now it wants to save it to my disc. what is the setting for this. the same goes for a link that would open excel automatically but again it wants to save it first.

When i"m trying to open the Firefox, an error message is coming as "Hmm. That address doesn’t look right.

Cannot delete items added to cart on patioslingsite.com using Firefox. Works ok using Google and Microsoft Edge browers. Using latest Firefox update on my Windows 10 OS and tried a few setting changes in Firefox without resolve. Is there a particular setting that needs to be changed or is there something else going on?

First, I apoligize if this is not correctly posted here but this kind of fit multiple categories.

I love Firefox and have used it for quite a long time. However, recently I have had multiple issues, most which have not been resolved. This issue however needs to get fixed because I cannot do this every time. For some reason, if I close the browser and open it again, my account has been disconected and it wants me to log in again. I did find a post regarding this from 10 months ago which a user stated the following:

"Your ‘logged-in’ status is stored in special cookies. If the cookie is removed, you are logged out.

You may be in Private Browsing mode or told Firefox not to remember.

Type about:preferences#privacy<enter> in the address bar. The button next to History, select Use Custom Settings.

Turn off Always Use Private Browsing Mode Turn on Remember My Browsing And Download History At the bottom of the page, turn on Clear History When Firefox Closes. At the far right, press the Settings button. Turn on ONLY Cache and Form And Search History leaving the others off."

I followed this hoping it would be the end of it but it still keeps on happening. If I can't get a solution to this, I will have to use another browser. I hate to think that will happen as no other browser has been as good a fit as Firefox but as I am sure you can imagine, this is getting to be too difficult of a process to do 10-20 times a day.

After updating Firefox, I now have a horizontal line across the upper portion of my computer screen. I have uninstalled FF and updated again thinking it would remove it. I have searched for a resolution and nothing has worked for me. I don't want to have to pay an expert to remove the line. Please give me a fix for this as it is really bothersome.

Hello, I was trying to fix this issue on my browser but I was not able to do it. The OS is Ubuntu 20.04.3 LTS 64-bit. Currently, I'm using Firefox version 99.0a1 but I had the same issue on version 97. Also, I have this issue on only one of my PCs. As I said in the subject: - The browser freezes the whole PC and I have to force reboot it. (I already disabled the hardware acceleration) - the recent download item open button does not trigger the opening of the folder. - If I try to download a file, the browser ask me where to save it. But if I try to download another one the browser shows me the directory with path /run/usr/1000/... I tried to delete places.sqlite but I received the same result. ... I downloaded Dropbox via Firefox and saved a document. I have my File Explorer set to open Dropbox files with Firefox. But … when I try to open my downloaded Dropbox file, Firefox opens, and I get a box that asks “Open File” or “Save File.” No matter which I click, a new screen opens with the exact same box, repeatedly. I have let computer sit, in case file was just loading slowly, but never does. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Dropbox several times, cleared Firefox cache, made sure my security allows downloads to Firefox. Can anyone help me? Let me add, the file in question is a family tree, and I was wondering if I might need to use something like Adobe Acrobat Reader as a third party location for opening this file. Thank you for any help you can provide.

This problem just started today. I am very angry. what is going on with Firefox? Websites are filled to the brim with annoying ad's. and you tube videos are constantly interrupted with ad's!!!!! What is with all the ad's? This problem has not existed until today. Please STOP this! And, No, I can not just wait a few seconds then click on "skip ads" because I am looking at videos on a computer screen while sitting away from the computer in a chair so constantly having to get up, walk to the computer, click on "skip ads", walk back to my chair is an annoyance! Just stop with all the ads!

I accidently uninstalled firefox browser and lost my homepage shortcuts to websites, tabs on the browser, saved passwords, bookmarks etc. I tried logging in after installing it again and apparently I didnt have an account. Is there any way to get my stuff back? It is a big blow and sets me back on a lot of things. Help Ryan

Witam, Mam problem. Jak mam uruchomionego Outlook i działa synchronizacja maili bez problemu. W momencie gdy uruchamiam firefox przestaje działać synchronizacja( wysyłanie i odbieranie maili). Jeżeli uruchomię ponownie outlook przy działającym juz firefox to problem znika. Według Microsoft problemem jest Firefox:

"Nie wykluczone że moduł zmieniający połączenie VPN wbudowane w FF realizuje jakieś niestandardowe tunelowanie informacji, co przeszkadza w nawiązywaniu synchronizacji poczty tego akurat klienta poczty."

Powyżej informacja od Microsoftu.

problem ten pojawił się na kilku komputerach jakieś 3-4 tygodnie temu. Dopiero teraz powiązałem fakt co powoduje problem z outlook.

recently I had my windows 10 reinstalled and had to reinstall firefox before the reinstate of operating system I had a video add on for facebook that would let me save a video to my desktop so i can send to facebook or send privately in facebook chat> had an add on that did that but i can not find it anywhere. again i had forgotten the name i think it was browser downloader but not sure. I forgot the name but loved it also now after reinstalling fire fox in the setting where it says application and defaults i do not see my mp4 which is windows media player listed there. Hello! Please, implement the built-in speed dial, like in Opera and Vivaldi. It's extremely convenient and useful, lots of people need this. I've been using Firefox for more than 10 years and I hate your stupid "Firefox Home" page (sorry) on desktop and Android with icons that add automatically and I can't change and locate. It's inconvenient and completely useless. It would be great if you create something like Opera 12.17 or 12.18 had. In addition, please remove the "close" button in the last tab. I know that I can do it via the "config mode" (browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab), but it's not user-friendly. It's inconvenient when you close the tab just to return home, but the whole browser closes. It makes me nervous. Thank you in advance! You are doing a great job, wish you good luck, and hope that one day Firefox will be more popular than Chromium-based browsers.

Hello, I am using Firefox 100 on Arch Linux (5.17.6-arch1-1) with GNOME 42.1, and after recent updates i doesn't play any videos, it is buffering them, plays a frame and pauses.

1. I reinstalled firefox. 2. I cleaned cache && cookies. 3. I removed extensions.

I can't remember my mozilla password and am trying to reset it. The reset link will not work it. It says the "reset password link expired" even though it was only sent a minute ago. I'm pretty sure some of my passwords have been compromised- a few weeks ago I couldn't sign in at all- firefox/mozilla didn't recognize my password. So I changed it- but now I cant remember the new password and I don't know if it would work even if I could. TIA
