Windows 11 system; currently running 131.0.3 (64-bit).
Was offered the chance to update to 132.0 (About | Help) (I do not and will not ever allow automatic updates without user approval, and my profile is stored in an entirely separate folder structure well away from the insecure \users hierarchy). Did the usual click on the update button, showed 132.0 downloading, update button changed to "Restart to Update", clicked the button...
And the update failed. Help | About shows 131.0.3, and the "Restart to Update" button is still active.
Tried again with a full shutdown instead of using the update button, same result.
So how do I force this update to install?

Come on tell me how or what to do. There are others saying the same thing . can you fix it or tell me how to make it work. I have to go to Chrome to use it. Very frustrating with many websites especially Amazon hanging and freezing on Firefox, this happens in Windows 10 across multiple computers, this issue doesn't happen on Chrome or Safari. Ad blocking has been turned off, hardware acceleration disabled, and multiple times complete reinstalls have been performed of Windows 10. For instance on Amazon, these websites seem to hang when loading, either freezing the browser with no mouse input allowed or loading broken images:

Firefox inhibits power management, causing the screensaver to not activate. This happens when I am not running a video. It happens if I open a website that has video but I do not run the video. If I turn off Firefox the screensaver works. Screensaver is set to activate at 5 minutes. Power Management is set to turn off screen when inactive for 7 minutes. Linuxmint 21.3. and on another computer - Linuxmint 22.0

On the Norwegian ( NCL ) website , if you go to the " excursion " link , pick a port , you see the 1st available tours...at the bottom of the page stating " 1-12 of 24 NEXT." However when you click the " highlighted" NEXT , nothing happens.....I have tried every combinations of settings....This feature, however works on my other browser with No additional settings....I was Always able to accomplish this.

Trotz Ihrem Update auf 131.03. In der Firefox-Portabel-Funktion 132 funktioniert aber der Zugriff auf das Bankkonto. (Installiert auf einem Stick). Bei einer anderen Bankverbindung (Barclay) klappt dieses aber. Ich erhalte immer folgende Abbildung, sh. Anhang Wie kann ich diesen Fehler beheben? My grudge is with the default option that comes preselected when it appears.
I'd like it to be "Open with" instead of "Save File".
Is this possible?
I've googled this issue and also searched this site but the answers I've found are either pretty dated, unhelpful or not working currently.
Would appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction, confirming if what I want is actually possible (I'd swear it is, if memory serves right) and if so, how to achieve it.

Other than this, Firefox runs satisfactorily.

Since my Firefox updated today (v132.0), sometimes when I swap tabs I get this grey bar appear for a split second at the bottom of the tab. This isn't super consistent, and seems to only happen when swapping from the New Tab page to some websites, such as Twitter and my email, but not others. I've tried disabling extensions to no avail.
Any ideas on the cause of this/how to fix?

Yesterday I could open any or all of the downloaded apps on the screen of my Apple laptop. Today, I can't! WHAT IS GOING ON? Being elderly and not very techie (to say the least!), I need simple answers, no jargon please. Is it because my laptop is 'elderly' in tech terms (Catalina 10.15.7) or what? I've used Mozilla most of the time for very many years, but I might swap to Safari or Chrome instead if this isn't sorted out PDQ.
