Hello! I am an avid user of firefox (especially with adblockers) on a windows 11 PC. Unfortunately, I have recently been experiencing an issue where when I attempt to open firefox, a window will open for a split second before instantly closing again. My PC is up to date, I have tried refreshing firefox and doing a clean install, but cannot seem to overcome the issue, or even open it in safe mode. Does anyone have any advice? Many thanks in advance!

I use Firefox on a ASUS Vivobook running Windows 11. On April 1, it tried to update to version 137.0, but failed and led me into a update loop of sorts. I had to re-install Firefox just to force an update on it, and that worked for a bit. Just today, it decided to update... and led me into ANOTHER update loop, and it's saying that the "install failed" when I check the update history.
Is anybody else experiencing this bug, and is there a way to fix it?

About two weeks ago, Firefox started randomly hanging and would stop responding. It wouldn't let me close the program and I always have to restart my system to resolve the problem. Sometimes it only takes a few minutes after restart before it hangs, other times it will be fine for hours.
I've tried multiple solutions I've found online, carefully following instructions: clearing cookies and cache, disabling all extensions, refreshing firefox, creating a new profile, deleting specific files within the Profiles folder, etc.
I've yet to make it more than four hours without the program hanging.
Any assistance or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Firefox recently started "eating" my tabs: closing them without my permission. There are several tabs I want to keep open at all times, because I refer to them from time to time throughout the day, but Firefox closes them from time to time. I googled the issue and the AI directed me to two settings: browser.tabs.unloadOnLowMemory and browser.tabs.min_inactive_duration_before_unload. It suggested setting the first one to "false" and increasing the duration of the second, or setting it to "false." However, the setting will only accept numeric values.
Since I am not having low memory issues, I want Firefox to leave my tabs alone. Is there any way to actually do this? If not, it would be really nice if Firefox developers reversed this intrusive change.
Thank you, Terry

Firefox stopped working on my computer. Every time I try to open it I get an error message that says "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." I tried to uninstall and reinstall with no success. Our IT dept tried as well and nothing we have tried has resolved the issue. Thank you for your help.

I have Firefox 136.0.2 (up to date) on Win 11. I want to remove specific autofill items, NOT all autofill items. Web info says use Settings > Privacy & Security > Forms & Autofill BUT there is nothing for Forms and Autofill in my Firefox 136.0.2
Can anyone please help me find how to edit autofill in this version?

For the past several months, I've had increasingly worse graphical errors on Google Drive. At first it was only in a few documents, and now it's in every single document. These errors only occur on Firefox, no other browser. Text that I type is constantly blurry, oddly-sized, or oddly-spaced, with some letters touching while others have large gaps between them. I've also had some other small issues, like the document thinking that I'm two people and asking me if I want to see "the changes made my collaborators" when I'm the one currently typing (the documents aren't shared with anyone else, and there are never any changes beyond the ones I make), or showing my cursor highlighted with my name as if I were someone else watching myself type. It's made it more difficult for me to focus on work and I don't know what to do about it.
I've tried the following methods (most of them multiple times over the past months) to solve it, none of which worked: - Running the windows in safe mode - Uninstalling all add-ons and themes, clearing cookies and cache, and then restarting my computer - Uninstalling Firefox entirely, restarting my computer, then reinstalling it - Refreshing Firefox - Looking through pages like Firefox Task Manager and such (although the information there didn't really mean much to me, nothing looked out of the ordinary)
Does anyone have any ideas about what I can do about this? I was ignoring it for a while since it's still legible, but it's become really annoying, especially when it makes some words hard to read. Thanks in advance for the consideration. Here's a screenshot of a document with the weirdly-spaced, blurry text:

For some reason I looked into whether my Firefoxes are ever using HTTP/3 - turns out they aren't. I looked up how to get any kind of information on this, and saved networking logs. They indicate that the moment Firefox tries to send the first UDP packet for the HTTP/3 connection, it gets "ErrorAccordingToNSPR [in=-5987 out=80004005]", the connection fails, and the server is added to an exclusion list so that no further (futile) attempts at using HTTP/3 will be made (which makes reattempting a HTTP/3 connection by hand that much harder). The initial platform was Windows 11, with Firefox 98.0.2, but afterwards I reproduced the issue on another PC running Windows 10, and with a nightly version on Windows 11, which I also used to save some logs which I can publish, as they don't reveal the sites I visit (though I can always provide the logs from my everyday instance of Firefox, should you find the information insufficient).
I also confirmed that HTTP/3 works with Chromium on the very same system and network, and also with Firefox on another machine running Linux.

I want Protonmail as my default mail for Firefox. Windows 11 allows me to install Protonmail as an application. I cannot find or use that application in order to use my Protonmail email as my 'mailto' option in Firefox. Why does Firefox not allow this? Why can't Firefox find and suggest the Windows 11 Protonmail app in its list of suggestions under 'mailto' options?
