I recently got a new computer, Apple iMac. I'm trying to transfer all my bookmarks I have on my older HP computer to the newer computer Apple. I downloaded the Firefox browser to the iMac. I see where there is a link to transfer bookmarks when I loaded the browser. But, when I click on the link, nothing really happens? There is no transfer of my bookmarks for my old computer to the newer computer. My OS with my older HP was Windows 7. My OS with my acquired Apple is Monterey. Can someone be of help with transferring bookmarks from one computer to another? I have many bookmarks so it would be very helpful to be able to make that transfer. Thank you.

Trouble with one website

I really like Firefox and would like to keep it, however when I sign in to my health insurance website it pulls up the site, lets me log in the goes to a blank page and never loads. This is the only site that it does this. I have downloaded your latest version and even contacted my health insurance to see if the problem was on their end. I am stumped !

Since total cookie protection was engaged after a recent browser update (about a week ago), my history logs have ceased functioning. I still have everything listed in those logs leading up to that date. This is rather distressing. I need to reverse this anomaly, yet cannot find a fix within your support topics.

Current browser version + 131.02 OS = Win 11

I have tried everything I know of to fix my Firefox browser from freezing up while scrolling down a web page, and nothing works, does Firefox plan a fix for this problem. I have a fairly new Dell computer with windows 11 pro and every time I load a website and try to scroll down the page using the wheel on my Logitech mouse I get freeze ups, for a few seconds, then it will scroll again for a little while then it freezes up again.

I tried to disable smooth scrolling, did not fix it, I tried to disable auto-scroll, did not fix it. Nothing will fix it, every time I try to scroll down a website it freezes up.

Does anyone have a fix for this.

After some days of usage, Firefox prompts us to create a new profile, and the browser does not function as expected unless we do so. Firefox sign in authentication credentials issue - loop of death on ebay

There seems to always be issues with Firefox and ebay.co.uk again.

Last time this occurred, Firefox simply wouldn't browse products on ebay, failing to display. That seemed to have been picked up some time ago. I just moved over to Chrome until it was fixed.

Now we have problems again. This time, ebay recognises that I'm signed in, but when I do anything like try to add a product to my Watch List, I'm told to re-enter my password (or PassKey) but whatever I choose password or my PassKey, Firefox simply cycled back to the password screen.

I've attached a screenshot to show the screen I'm talking about. See attached.

When I move over to Chrome and follow the same process, everything works perfectly. Definitely a Firefox specific issue. As I have the same addons configured on both browsers, including my Keeper Password Manager.

This is a new issue since the last upgrade as I recall. The only change being the Firefox upgrade.

The current version is the latest for Mac - 131.0.3 (64 bit) on Monterey 12.7.6

How to troubleshoot Firefox inhibiting system power saving functions?

Earlier I noticed on a newly installed Debian (stable) system running Gnome (X11) that the screen was not blanking at all and thus the screen was not locking, neither was the system suspending.  After a while I found the command `gnome-session-inhibit --list` (and later the helpful Inhibition Indicator gnome extension ) which returned `firefox: video-playing (idle)`, indicating firefox was inhibiting the idle action (which is to blank the screen) due to playing a video.

Strange since there was no video playing. Mind you i do have several Firefox windows open in multiple workspaces comprising over 100 tabs on a good day. However, most of these tabs had gone to sleep or were forced to sleep by me with the Auto Tab Discard add-on. I didn't notice anything obvious in about:performance. ChatGPT said to try running `Array.from(document.querySelectorAll('video'))` in the console which returned an empty array. I thought that command checked every tab but it only applied to the tab I started the dev tools from. Maybe if there was a way to add a for loop to check all active tabs, it could be a useful command.

Since it was getting to the point I'd have to restart Firefox to fix this, I tried some more drastic measures first, like putting every tab to sleep with Auto Tab Discard. Now about:processes only listed core Firefox processes like: itself, Fork Server, Network, Utility, Extensions, 3x About Pages, and 3x Preallocated.  Even then firefox was still inhibiting the idle action! I think close all of the internals I just listed, so only "Firefox" was listed in about:performance, and still firefox was inhibiting the idle action!

Finally I closed Firefox and finally `gnome-session-inhibit --list` didn't list firefox anymore and screen started blanking again. So I guess that was a bug? How to troubleshoot that better and track down the cause? or should I just go ahead and post this already as a Firefox bug?

In the previous version of Firefox I could install a multiple language keyboard layouts in the upper right row. I had to reset everything with a new HDD an Ubuntu 24, which comes with Firefox as well. Now I can't find how to install those shortcuts. I need to use Slovenian, Italian, Spanish, German and US keyboards (UK is standard with UK English as primary choice). Thank you for your help.

So I tried uninstalling and downloading a clean copy but Firefox recognizes we've had it before and loads the new version with all the old info, so we have the same the same problem trying to make changes.

How do I get an actual clean copy with a new account?

Over the past two years it seems, both Firefox and Thunderbird constantly show "NOT RESPONDING" plus "FORCE QUIT or WAIT" while using the browser and the email. There never seems to be any reason for these messages coming up. In some cases the computer automatically switches from Firefox to Thunderbird while in the middle of performing operations on webpages (not always the same pages). Using Ubuntu 24.04 having updated from 22.04.

I had to reinstall Firefox on laptop B. Initially I copied the profile folder back, as I had a recent backup. However, when I sync'd, it deleted a bunch of extensions - which then sync'd and deleted them from laptop A too.

I got them back (manually) on A, deleted the new installation on B, then reinstalled and resync'd (without copying the profile folder). Same thing happened, except as I wasn't coming from the profile, I'd also lost a bunch of settings. So even worse.

My theory (based on the popup about syncing with a mobile device) is it is, for some reason, syncing with my Android phone config (which doesn't have all the same extensions, as they're not compatible) instead of my browser on A.

Has anyone else encountered this? Any solutions?

I’m experiencing some issues with site indexing in Mozilla Firefox. Certain websites that I frequently visit don’t seem to be indexed correctly, which is affecting my browsing experience.

I’ve tried clearing the cache and cookies, and I’ve also checked my privacy settings, but the problem persists. Has anyone else encountered this? Any suggestions on how to resolve it or further steps I should take?
