In Firefox, some buttons work and some do not while in all other browsers they seem to work fine. This is truly bizarre. I have already tried: - conforming the compression settings to be the same as the ones that work - making sure the file names are lower case with no spaces -I've diddled around with the formatting and moved songs around to replace ones that DO work with the ones that aren't playing. Still no luck.
Another strange thing that is happening is that if you right click on the player, you can go to the link where the mp3 is, and it plays fine on its own.
You can view the site here: http://www.johnsimonmusic.net/test2/discography/ You can see for instance that the "intro" plays but the "sampler" doesn't. Why is this happening?

Thanks for the help. I actually figured it out. It was a combination of two things:
1)Corrupt mp3 files that hadn't been properly compressed from being originally .m4a files
2) A subtle coding glitch that all the other browsers handled without problem. Firefox is really finicky about these sorts of things.

Check that Flash Player is installed and enabled.
- Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems
- Use plugins to play audio, video, games and more ("Managing Plugins" section)
Also make sure to wait a few moments for the file to load and begin playing.
If you can play MP3 files inside Firefox directly, it's probably because you have the QuickTime plug-in installed, and it's handling them. Most Windows users don't have it. If they click a direct MP3 link, they're presented with a download dialog box where they can choose to open the file in an external application like Windows Media Player. That's why playing the files through Flash Player is necessary.
The Sampler link works for me with the Flash plugin and the Sound manager.
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
- Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
- Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
- Press "Command + Shift + R" (MAC)
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Hey cor-el. I've managed to fix the problem now. I don't know why it made a difference but I simply re-uploaded the Mp3's to the server and it worked after that.
