Hello colinstuart, copied from the next link: Please note that while the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows Vista and Windows 7 can be used to run Firefox 17, only 32-bit builds of Firefox 17 are supported at this time.
Firefox 17.0.1 System Requirements
thank you
Firefox 16.0 and 17.0 is compatible with Windows 7.
Mozilla does not release Win64 builds of Firefox however the Win32 builds works fine on 64-bit Windows anyways.
You appear to have the old Firefox 13.0.1 on 32-bit Windows 7 so therefore is shows the 16.0 and 17.0 is compatible.

I have Firefox 13.0.1 installed on my laptop using Windows 7 64 bit and as this is not supported by Mozilla I am not going to install version 17 until it is. Therefore, please stop asking me to download version 17.
colinstuart.
As James said in his previous reply "Mozilla does not release Win64 builds of Firefox however the Win32 builds works fine on 64-bit Windows anyways."
it is true, Win32 builds works fine on 64-bit Windows, if we have problem with the 64-bit Win then we would have many more questions for help in the forum
if you install firefox, all plugins must be for 32-bit, because firefox is basically 32-bit build
immediate plans for 64-bit for windows i don't think it exist.
thanks again
