I can't seem to update my Firefox version to 7.1 so I can run the icloud. Everytime I install the upgrade it acts like it works but doesn't actually upgrade. I uninstalled it as well and then reinstalled and it still didn't work. What's the problem?

I note from your system details aside User String ending in FBSMTWB that presumably indicates FastBrowser Toolbar software is installed. That must be a prime suspect. Try disabling or uninstalling that software.
You will probably have to identify the software and remove it using Windows XP control panel. See this answer from SafeBrowser /questions/878922#answer-250766 mentioning
- Open the Windows XP Control Panel and remove/uninstall "Fast Browser search protection" and "Fast Browser Search" (MyWebTatoo)
N.B. it is conceivable that names of such software change slightly, depending on when and how it was installed.
Your UserAgent string in Firefox is messed up by another program that you installed.

type about:config in the URL bar and hit Enter
If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access that page.
Filter = general.useragent.
Right-click the preferences that are bold, one line at a time, and select Reset.
Then restart Firefox
