I have used Thunderbird for more than 15 years and have always liked the way it works and promote it to anyone needing an email client, but the latest version 115 Super Nova is terrible. I don't like the font or anything in the update. Now I just found a new problem. Since last update messages show all previous messages from same sender with current message at the bottom of list. I have looked for a way to change this but have not found anything. It used to work so good and now it sucks.

I filed a bug report, but after filing I checked my dashboard and it does not show any bugs listed. So not sure if the issue was filed or not? I have been dealing with this issue for over a week now and since this is my business email address I have probably lost a customer or 2 for not responding to their email. I am trying to purchase a version of Office to use Outlook that is not a cloud storage version

As a workaround, does it help you if you change mail.operate_on_msgs_in_collapsed_threads to false using the instructions at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/config-editor ?

Yes that did seem to fix the issue. Should I leave the setting as false?

Hello, I did file a bug report but do not see any progress on the issue. There is a newer version of Thunderbird out now 115.6.0. I guess I will install the update in the hopes that they have fixed the issue.

Hello I received an email on 01/05/2024 stating the bug was fixed so I installed the latest version of Thunderbird 115.6.1 and it appeared it was fixed, but today I have the problem back so logged into Bugzilla to notify it was not fixed but it says the bug issue was closed over 1 month ago and I am not allowed to comment on it? Now do I have to start over again?

You will want to file a new bug report.

I am not going to waste my time with filing another bug report. What is the point if they close it when it has not been resolved? It's a free client and I guess I should not expect it to work correctly, although for many years it has worked great. I will have to move all my email to a different client eventually.

First of all, you only have two reported bugs in bugzilla, and https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1866660 which I previously cited has not been closed.

Second, the bug report you referred to as being closed must be someone else's bug report - but I have no idea what it is because you haven't given the URL. Since it's not your bug report, the path forward (which you asked for) is for you to file a new bug report - we don't reopen the other user's bug report.

Unless you are saying https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1866660 accurately describes what you are reporting here?
