Firefox keeps starting up at the Welcome page

Around 11/26/2022 I guess Firefox updated? Afterward every time I launch Firefox it opens two tabs and goes to the first time user welcome setup. No matter what is changed it will not save and repeats this action again at next start up.

How do I fix this problem? Thank you for your time.

Victor

You can check that those pages aren't set as multiple homepages.

You can check the homepage setting in "Settings -> Home".

Firefox supports multiple homepages separated by '|' (pipe) symbols.

This didnt work. I have reset the home page many times. it just keeps going back to the first time user welcome page and a second tab of Privacy Notice.

Try changing this preference in about:config to false. browser.aboutwelcome.enabled

Thanks for the help, but this doesnt work either. I've changed it twice and it just keeps resetting each time. Not sure what to try. Maybe uninstall and reinstall?

I have the preference marked false and it persists. Have you restarted after changing it?

You may have an issue mentioned on the page linked below.

You may need to reset your home and new tab pages. Settings > Home > New Windows and Tabs.
