Consequent to recent Firefox upgrade 103 leading consequent distortion of UI - mostly rectified now- bookmarks disappeared during my early attempts to sort this out [via roll back]. Replaced bookmarks folder is left justified on screen - previously it was to the right. It can be copied and pasted but always jumps back to LHS. I haven't been able to drag n drop or otherwise move this tab elsewhere - internal organisation menu doesn't seem to deal with this subject. A small thing, but Why is it so?

Could you clarify what you mean by "replaced bookmarks folder". For example:

Hello Once again thanks for your interest.

That phrase should read: I created another bookmarks folder to populate. My jargon is not up to speed but I am likely referring to top menu bar and/or overflow menu.

Re check of 'Customize Firefox' feature will probably reveal a solution.

If the folder is on the Bookmarks Toolbar (usually below the main toolbar), then it's normal for the items on that bar to start from the left if your language reads from left-to-right. It's actually possible to move the Bookmarks Toolbar Items to a different bar through Customize. Maybe you've done that?

If there is not enough space available on the screen the Firefox may show folder content placed at the left instead of to the right. This is more likely to happen in the are bookmarks with a long title, so you can check that and shorten very long titles.

Hi Thanks - that hasn't been mentioned before. And it is likely given the sorts of stuff I 'nail'. However it seems I tripped up over jargon in Firefox settings menu while resurrecting my preferred 'custom view', pursuant to a mishap with update 103. Years back when I first downloaded Firefox knowing even less than I know now - I somehow pinned shortcut Bookmarks Menu to toolbar - Bookmarks folder of identical content was hidden by default I suppose and I never well, missed it. It likes LHS of toolbar maybe for the reason you posit. While restoring my stuff, bookmarks header in Firefox menu appeared first up, I created shortcut to it that places Bookmarks folder on view.

Revisiting More tools\Custom settings after some other advice, I re discovered symbol/widget for Bookmarks Menu- never may we be parted again, huh?

Do you mean the Bookmarks Menu button ?

You can drag the Bookmarks Menu button that shows the bookmarks in a drop-down list from the Customize palette to the Navigation Toolbar. This Bookmarks Menu button has a "View bookmarks sidebar" menu item.

See "How do I add the Bookmarks Menu button to the toolbar?"

Yes. You are correct - I mixed up labels for those two.
