Searching opens duplicate tabs

After a recent update, maybe 95 or possibly 94, I've begun to experience a small but very annoying issue with using the URL/searchbar.

I'll usually just enter my query, e.g "test", but this now opens 2 tabs, 1. with the actual search result page and 1 tab that opens a new search result page. This happens when using different search engines. I've tried re-installing the app, clearing all cache, storage, removed my Firefox Sync account etc. with no changes.

I've recorded a video of the behaviour: https://photos.app.goo.gl/ZLEZ2omVJaWXTEaM8

Hi

What is the full version number of the Firefox for Android that you have installed on your device?

I changed browsers, but the problem is still there...

Really hope you can still help out! Just reinstalled, cleaned add-ons etc.

Full version: 99.2.0

What have you changed browser from and to?

I changed from Firefox to Brave :(

Just tested in v.100.1.1, and the issue is still present.

I was only using Brave, because I couldn't get Firefox to work properly :)

I've found the cause and solution. It was another application using the Accessibility/draw over functionality. After disabling it, Firefox search worked as it should.
