my bookmarks now shows recent, not the order i had them in. how do i change it?

Hi stvh2, where are you viewing your bookmarks? There are numerous different views, including:

Library menu > Bookmarks -- Recently Bookmarked list (chronological order)
Bookmarks Sidebar (Ctrl+b)
(menu bar) Bookmarks menu
optional Bookmarks menu toolbar button -- add using Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars (or see Bookmarks in Firefox - section entitled: How do I add the Bookmarks Menu button to the toolbar?)
