Not able to find my saved passwords after updating Firefox
My Firefox updated automatically, unfortunately before exploring the updated version I as I usually do, deleted the Old Firefox Data Folder that I automatically created when the FF updates. Now when I saw I lost all of my saved password bookmarks etc. I had more than 400 saved password :/ Its breaking my mind, What should I do. I used to delete the Old Firefox Data folder but happily nothing happened until now, How should I get back my previous data. ? I had very important passwords saved in that history. Even though I turned on the firefox sync but I didn't found any password still. Any help will be highly appreciated.

It is normal for the logins.json file to have encrypted data in the password field, and often in the username field. The Lockwise page doesn't show any of what is in the file?

Can you use the Windows Recycle Bin to restore the Old Firefox Data folder? https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/15057/windows-show-hide-recycle-bin
I don't understand why you routinely get an Old Firefox Data folder when you update. That folder is created/updated by the "Refresh" feature, described in the following article (not recommended at this point): Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings (do not Refresh now).
IMPORTANT: Do not delete any more files. If you want to replace a file, rename it or move it to a separate folder for potential future use.
If the Old Firefox Data folder can be recovered, the key files are:
- logins.json
- key4.db
These should be treated as a pair, a lock and key. Do you have those files in your older profile folder?

I don't know what happened. Just restarted my Firefox and all of my passwords bookmarks and everything came back as normal. Thank God. What should I do now to make it safe. I already put a master password and turned sync on and ensured that passwords and bookmark field is checked.

Yes, but... there isn't a good way to import them, so it would mostly be for your reference. Check out this thread:

and If I manually keep taking the backup of just these two file. Would I be able to restore passwords using these files If I lost anyhow

These are the files used by Firefox. As long as Firefox can use them, you should be good. I don't know of any third party software that reads those files when you have a Master Password set.

You can have Lockwise and still be able to view/change/delete entries like you used to with the old password manager :
Type in the address bar :
chrome://passwordmgr/content/passwordManager.xhtml
Press Enter and maximize the window.
When you highlight an entry you will see a "Show Password" button at the bottom.
(you could bookmark this page or save it somewhere like in a Word document)
