Moving deleted messages into new folder

Hello. I don't know but having just had to redownload the latest Thunderbird after a self-inflicted (partly) computer crash, I have set up my 3 email accounts via POP (2 Gmail and 1 main/BT one). I then went through settings to check settings for junk, keeping messages on server and so on. BUT for some inexplicable reason, I can no longer see the option for moving deleted messages ... into a folder I created for each account called, artistically,. deleted. It used to be there as an option along with all the other folder type stuff but where is it hidden now please ... or is it simply a question of "should have gone to Specsavers!" lol

Thank you. Nick

Thunderbird has a built-in Trash folder. Simply use that.

That's the simplistic answer to be fair, Chris. That's how it's working at the moment but I want to use the trash/junk folder for trash/junk and a different folder (Deleted) which I've created in case I need to go find emails I've deleted myself. I've always been able to do it and I'm sure that feature is still there. I just need help finding out where Mozilla has put it in this update! :)

I'm still not really sure what you're trying to achieve. You can right-click a message - Move To - select the Deleted folder in your account. The next time you do this there will be a menu item 'Move to "Deleted" Again' when right-clicking a message.

Hello again Chris. Thank you again for your reply and assistance.

Yes, once again you're right that will work but with respect, still doesn't answer my question. You say you're not sure what I'm trying to achieve well simply I'm trying to find the option to move deleted messages ... as you know the options for archived messages, trash messages and so on have either their default folders or, you can select underneath them for a folder of your choice, yes? Well there's always been an option there too for deleted messages as opposed to junk or trash messages, which I'd like kept separate, as I explained above. However I can no longer find the option for deleted messages which I'm sure must still be there somewhere because it would make no sense for Mozilla to remove it? It's as simple as that really.

Never mind, I'll wait until I have some more time and go through all the settings/options once again. If they have removed this option, I will not only be very surprised but also rather frustrated and annoyed, although I still think Thunderbird is an awesome email client. :)
