How do I change what button opens Firefox?

I play games often and as a result the escape key is a button that is used frequently. This morning it gave me some issues as it was also opening my browser (Firefox). I don't know why, it's never happened before, and I can't seem to find it in the options or the support guides. Maybe I just missed it and I would simply like to know how to not have any buttons open the browser.

Yes, I attempted trying to solve the problem by leaving nothing open and the button still opens the browser. I thought maybe it was the beginnings of a virus so I downloaded a free malware recommended by Mozilla and ran a scan, nothing came up. I am aware that occasionally my alt key gets stuck but it's usually an easy fix and I tried that and nothing has changed. I refreshed the browser, basically factory resetting it,and it still acts up. I'm not sure what caused this. I was thinking it may be a new setting added in a recent update but I can't seem to figure out which setting from which program it is.

Is your game and firefox the only things open and pressing esc was bringing firefox up? Alt might be stuck, physically or software-wise which could cycle your windows like that.

However, if you mean it's opening firefox from closed when you press esc, that's different.
