Is there a way to keep a *full*, unadulterated history record?

I sometimes want to look back and see exactly what time a link was opened on a date, but if the same link is opened, it just deletes the last record of it. This seems ridiculous. If I look back in my history I only know the links that were not opened again since that moment. I have no way of knowing a link was opened that day if it was ever looked at again. This gets particularly bad if it's months later since you have a good chance of going back to things.

Firefox only shows the most recent visit if you check the history. Previous visits aren't removed, but merely aren't exposed in the user interface.

You can look at this NirSoft utility:

Thanks! It would be nice if you could show all of them with just a dropdown menu option in the built-in history UI though.
