How do I unblock Spotify ads?

I do not have Spotify premium. When ads play, I get a long period of silence, which is disconcerting with earphones at work. Is there a way to go ahead and hear the ads? (Besides, it's how they receive revenue and at age 62, I understand the need for it.) Thanks,

Yes I did. I wanted to add www.spotify.com as an exemption, but I couldn't figure out how to do that. Plus, I didn't know if that would work for Spotify's media player.

So you have separate software install for the Spotify's media player that isn't link or installed to the Browser?

Yes, it is separate. I start it from an icon on my desktop. (I'm an old geezer struggling to understand this stuff, sorry.) I didn't know it could be installed to the browser, whatever that means. (I appreciate your patience with me.) :)
