How can I stop firefox from nagging me to update?
I don't know when it happened, but in a recent-ish firefox update there no longer seems to be an option to turn off updates altogether.
I absolutely want to control exactly where and when firefox updates, and for that matter, ideally when it communicates with the update servers.
The main issue that I have with this is that now it seems that once per session a little nag box appears in the top right corner telling me that an update is available, and click the button to update.
Is there any way to remove this behaviour without downgrading to a version that doesn't do this?
app.update.enabled is set to false. app.update.service.enabled is set to false.
I don't know what more to check. Thanks in advance for your help.

In about:config, try to set the app.update WaitTimes and intervals to some large value, like 31536000 (seconds, = 1 year)
- Aside from the 'Timer' adjusting, what a about a 'bogus' URL replacement for those not wanting an 'accidental Update?
- This is what I have in FF 61.0.2, About:Config, enter App.Update in the About:Config Search Box: (Yet to be tested... I just get daily pop-up reminders.)
