First, they removed our CHOICE then they removed plugin support. Now having a status bar is impossible without it being added back. Please do so. Thank you.

The Web is dangerous now more than ever and I want/need to SEE where I am going before I get there. I also like the progress bar on downloads.

Normally when you hover your mouse pointer over a link, Firefox will display the destination URL in a tooltip floating over the lower left corner of the page. Does your Firefox not do that?

Regarding the progress bar on downloads, there is a slim progress bar below the downloads arrow on the toolbar, but it is quite hard to see. I created a custom style rule to make it taller:

<center></center>

But it doesn't give you a whole lot more information. If you want to try it anyway, I have the code in this thread: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1203671#answer-1074285

As for the toolbars; Type about:customizing<enter> in the address bar. Look for Show / Hide Toolbars at the bottom left.

There is also a Restore Defaults button at the bottom middle.

Note: about:customizing is no longer present in Firefox 47+ releases.

  • Press Alt or F10 to bring up the toolbar.
Then View > Toolbars > Customize.
  • Right-click on a blank spot in the toolbar and select Customize.
