The help for this very clearly states to go to "File > New > Get a New Mail Account".

My Thunderbird has drop-down called "file". Did I accidentally delete it or something? How can I get it back?

I don't know what you mean by drop-down, but the Help text is about the Thunderbird menu, which is hidden by default. Press Alt or F10 in the Main window and the menu bar appears (temporarily). Then you can choose File > New > Get a New Mali Account.

If you want the menu to be always displayed, you can also configure Thunderbird that way, by again pressing Alt or F10 and then choosing View > Toolbars and checking Menu Bar.

When using the new AppMenu button the options have been moved by some brilliant programmer. The add account is now under File-New Message. I second the suggestion above to turn the Menu Bar on so it shows all the time. Most help articles refer to using the Menu Bar and not the AppMenu button.

If you want to purchase a new email address from a 3rd party vendor select New Mail Account. If you already have an email address established with a provider select Existing Mail Account.

Thanks. One problem solved. Now onto the next. Lol!
