How to clear history except for a few sites?

My history is becoming rather large (mostly facebook and google) and slows down firefox so I want to clean it up a bit. I want to keep history for some sites only, e.g some novel sites to keep track of which chapters I have read, etc... So I spent a whole afternoon manually deleting entries, until I realized there were entries that appeared in search but did not show up in "Older than 6 months". So, is there any way to remove every single history entry apart from some sites?

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.

Example: Expire history by days {web link} Allows to expire history older than a fixed amount of days.

Most addons are made to destroy browsing history completely or delete by date or by site while I want to delete everything apart from a few sites.

You can consider to order the history by location or create a specific smart folder.
