hyperlinks not working in some emails, not all

Windows 7, Google Chrome default browser. Some emails put the zoom +/- as cursor instead of the hand/finger, makes hyperlink nonactive. Have tried all the things listed in way of settings, add-ons except System Diagnostics. Some email hyperlinks work fine.
