where did firefox find favorites i deleted from internet explorer & google chrome on another computer
firefox found favorites that i have not seen or used in years... old computer is sony viao running windows vista...i used internet explorer and google chrome at times.... i installed firefox on a new asus computer running windows 8.... the bookmarks must have been stored somewhere in the cloud on microsoft or google i suppose.... i did not manually add them...... they just showed up when i started using firefox.. freaks me out.....where did they come from??????

When Firefox is first run, it should have asked if you wanted to check other browsers and import bookmarks.
Find all of these "old" bookmark folders and remove/rename them.
These can help with the current bookmarks folder, Use with Extreme Caution;

Check favorites for broken or bad links. It checks for bad links and
displays a report if it finds something. Check for 404 links, timeout links.
